Jalani Davis, a senior at Ole Miss, repeated as women's weight throw winner with a third-round effort of 81-4.50 (24.80m) at the NCAA Division 1 Indoor Championships at the TRACK at New Balance in Boston, Mass. Davis became the first women's competitor to secure back-to-back weight throw crowns since D'Ana McCarty of Louisville in 2009-10 and just the sixth female athlete in Division 1 indoor history to capture consecutive titles. She also helped Ole Miss join South Carolina (1996-98) and Florida (2002-05) as the only women's programs to secure at least three straight NCAA weight throw championships, with Shey Taiwo prevailing in 2022 at the CrossPlex in Birmingham, Ala.
